Introduction
The sloping roof at the 26th storey of a residential apartment was up for maintenance. Instead of the periodic regular cleaning, the Management Council would like to evaluate the general condition of the roof before determination the strategy of maintenance for this hard to access roof. Our service was to provide the preliminary prognosis of the roof based on infrared survey and visual inspection.
Our value proposal
- Fast and effective assessment of the surface of the hard to access roof surface
- Understanding of the tripartite working relation between tile, adhesive system and the supporting concrete substrate prevent costly strategy like total removal and reinstatement of the tile
- Review and advice on the properties of coating to be used on the roof for better long term maintainability
Conclusion
This preliminary diagnosis had yielded valuable information for the Management Council in their selection of an appropriate maintenance strategy. The IR thermograms were visually explicit and supported the principal behind the maintenance strategy. |
